the debut album of thea wang (1993) «While He Is Still Asleep» was released on MADE Records in 2022 while she lived in Copenhagen, Denmark studying at RMC. She received great critical acclaim from BT, P6 Beat, P3, VG, and the international press. By then she has played solo-concerts all over the world as well as streamed over 2.7 million times and has travelled the world as the opener for Tuvaband and AURORA on her Europe tour in 2022, and the support act on parts of her world tour 2023–2024 from Lima to Tokyo. With her music, thea invites us into a mesmerizing universe of tranquillity, containing short stories about love, sorrow, longing and loneliness.

she is currently finishing her second solo album, expected in 2027, alongside a new, more instinctive project called thea 3am: songs written in a single sitting, late at night, left deliberately raw and unpolished.

thea wang is also one third of Nothing Personal, alongside Solveig Wang and Dorothea Økland. Since 2019 the trio has released three albums, most recently «Antiphon of Dirty Water» (Braveheart Records, 2025), which received a 6/6 from Bergens Tidende, was described by Aftenposten as a supergroup pushing Norwegian music forward, and was named album of the year runner-up by Dagsavisen. It was nominated for “best record of the year” in Subjektprisen 2026, and has received significant radio play across Scandinavia.
